Speed up PrestaShop by removing the real bottlenecks
Slow PrestaShop stores usually combine heavy images, modules on every page, weak cache and hosting limits. I measure the live templates before changing production.
Why PrestaShop feels slow on mobile
Hero images, sliders, chat widgets, uncached category listings and combination-heavy product pages are frequent causes of poor LCP and INP. A cache module alone will not fix a theme that ships unused JavaScript on checkout.
I look at front-office templates, module hooks, image formats, third-party scripts, Smarty or Symfony cache, PHP version and server limits. The output is a priority list tied to the pages that sell.
- Largest Contentful Paint on category and product pages
- Unused JavaScript from modules and sliders
- Image size, format and lazy loading
- Server cache, PHP version and hosting limits
- Checkout scripts that block payment
A practical order of work
First I measure the live homepage, a typical category, a heavy product and checkout. Then I disable or defer what is not needed, compress media, and only then discuss hosting or a theme rewrite.
Some stores need a PHP or cache change on the server. Others need fewer modules on every page. I will not sell a CDN as a substitute for a theme that loads four sliders above the fold.
Speed work without fake scores
I can report before-and-after measurements on your URLs. I do not advertise invented 96/100 scores as a package benefit.
Hourly diagnosis is €30 + VAT where applicable. Larger optimisation programmes are estimated after the review, because the cheapest win is often a module you can simply stop loading.
PrestaShop speed FAQs
Will you guarantee a PageSpeed number?
No. I measure your templates and improve the bottlenecks found.
Is speed work billed hourly?
Diagnosis is usually hourly. Larger optimisation scopes are estimated after the review.
Does faster PrestaShop help SEO?
It can. Core Web Vitals are a ranking and conversion factor, especially on mobile category and product pages.
Can you speed up PrestaShop 1.7, 8 and 9?
Yes. The bottlenecks differ by version, theme and hosting, so the review starts with the live stack.
